General booking conditions
Reservation
Reservations can only be made using the reservation form, after agreement with the campsite and subject to availability. This form must be returned signed with the deposit no later than 15 days after the date on which the campsite sent it to you. After this period, the option will be cancelled.
On receipt of your booking and deposit, we will send you a booking confirmation, subject to availability. All rentals are by name only and cannot be transferred or rented out under any circumstances. Any person not registered on the rental contract will not be allowed to stay without the agreement of the management.
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
The number of people occupying a pitch or mobile home may not exceed the maximum authorized capacity, i.e. 4 people for a pitch and 2 to 6 people for a mobile home, depending on the category specified in the contract.
Any person from outside the campsite (even a friend or family member just passing through) must present himself or herself at reception, and leave the vehicle outside the campsite. His or her acceptance on the premises is subject to the will of the management (the management must be able to inform the police at any time of the persons present on the campsite, under penalty of a fine).
Pets
Dogs are allowed on the site, provided they have been declared at the time of booking, do not disturb the peace and safety of residents, and respect basic rules of hygiene and the integrity of the facilities. Small needs can be met outside the campsite (parking lot in front of the campsite and on the banks of the Rhône). They must be kept on a leash, and up-to-date vaccination records must be presented. Pets are not allowed in the swimming pool or bathrooms. Category 1 and 2 dogs (pitbull, rottweiler…) are not allowed on the campsite.
Only 2 small dogs are allowed in mobile homes, and it is forbidden to let them climb on the benches and beds.
Dogs must be provided with a basket.
Dogs must be kept on a leash, and you must never leave an animal alone on a pitch or in a rental unit. Watch out for their droppings!
You must take your pet outside the campsite, and if they accidentally relieve themselves on the site, you must remove them immediately.
Visitors
Payment of the visitor’s fee does not entitle the holder to access to the swimming pool, which is strictly reserved for campsite residents.
Any person from outside the campsite must be presented or report to reception.
Sanitary
As a place of respect, no water games will be tolerated.
Small children must be accompanied by a parent.
The sanitary facilities are a hygiene area; no animals are allowed.
Quiet night
Campsite residents are required to comply with the campsite rules and regulations, available from reception, particularly as regards quiet at night.
Disturbances and nuisances
Each tenant is responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by persons staying with him or her.
If a resident causes a disturbance or nuisance to other residents, or damages the facilities, his or her stay may be terminated immediately and without compensation, without prejudice to any claims for compensation that the Campsite or third parties may have against him or her.
Swimming pool
The swimming pool is subject to its own rules and regulations.
For reasons of safety and hygiene, you must respect these rules. Shorts are strictly forbidden.
Only swimming trunks or shorts are permitted.
The swimming pool is unsupervised, and children must be accompanied by an adult under their own responsibility. The campsite cannot be held responsible under any circumstances. No one from outside the campsite may have access to the swimming pool (even guests, whether from pitches or rentals).
No pets are allowed in the pool area.
Barbecue
Charcoal or wood barbecues are prohibited on pitches or in front of mobile homes, by prefectural decree.
Damage
Campsite equipment and facilities must be used in accordance with their normal purpose. Any damage to the premises, or loss or destruction of furnishings in accommodation or common-access buildings, automatically renders the person responsible liable. Customers renting accommodation or pitches are personally liable for any damage, loss or deterioration caused to the accommodation or campsite facilities by persons staying with them or visiting them. It must be covered by civil liability insurance.
A deposit of €200 for mobile home rentals must be paid by the tenant on arrival and before taking possession of the accommodation to cover any damage, and will be returned after inspection of the premises. The rental must be cleaned by you. A cleaning deposit of 60 € paid on arrival by the tenant will be retained if the rental is not returned in the best possible state of cleanliness or if the tenant has smoked inside the mobile home. Keys are only returned in the mornings from 8am to 10:30am in mid and high season.
Liability
The Campsite is not liable, beyond its legal responsibility, in the event of :
– theft, loss or damage of any kind during or following a stay.
– nuisances caused by natural phenomena (weather, mosquitoes, aphids, etc.)
– breakdown or outage of technical equipment, breakdown or closure of campsite facilities. Occasional measures taken by campsite management to restrict access to certain facilities, including the swimming pool, in order to comply with safety standards or carry out periodic maintenance work. The campsite expressly reserves the right to modify the design and construction of the campsite.
– the deposit does not constitute a limit of liability; the tenant must be insured for civil liability.
– any dispute concerning the interpretation or execution of this contract or its consequences will be brought before the court of sole jurisdiction.
– the children’s play area is the sole responsibility of the parents, as no child is allowed to stay there alone. Likewise, fitness equipment is for adults only, and if a child uses it, it’s under the full responsibility of the accompanying parent. Under no circumstances can the campsite be held responsible.
Terms of payment
For a pitch or mobile home, a deposit of 30% of the basic price of the services ordered must be paid at the time of booking (with a minimum deposit of 45 €). The balance is payable on arrival, before taking possession of the rental.
The deposit and/or balance can be paid by bank transfer, cash, credit card or vacation vouchers (no change is given),

Allocation of pitches and mobile homes
Your pitch will only be allocated on the day of your arrival. Wherever possible, we will try to keep pitches side by side according to availability and booking date. Arrivals after 4pm and departures before 12am.
Your mobile home will only be allocated on the day of your arrival, according to the category reserved. Arrivals after 4pm and departures before 10am. A deposit of 200€ and 60€ will be required on arrival (cheque or credit card number).
Changes and cancellations
Booking changes : Bookings can only be changed up to 6 weeks before the start of the holiday or subject to availability on the date of the change.
Late arrival – Early departure: In the event of late arrival or early departure with respect to the dates mentioned on your reservation, no refund will be made, whatever the cause.
In the case of a pitch rental, you must notify us of your delayed arrival IN WRITING. If we do not receive any information on this subject, the pitch will be allocated to another customer at 4pm the following day.
Cancellations :
1 – On the part of Camping Tartarin: In the event of cancellation of a stay for reasons for which we are responsible, with the exception of cases of force majeure leading us to cancel for reasons of safety of holidaymakers, the customer will obtain a refund of all sums paid.
2 – By the camper: In the event of cancellation more than 30 days before the start of the stay, the amount of your deposit will be retained by the campsite. In the event of cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the stay, the full price of the stay will be due.
